Goodmorning!

I'm in school in Spanish class, bored per usual and it's the only time I really have to blog so that's why my posts are always in school! It's rainy and cold, it has been for the past few days. It's also Monday so I'm basically still sleeping since it's first period. First period, rainy weather, and Mondays are never a good mix no matter where you are!

I know I talk a lot about how slow Italians are at everything but I have another example, this weekend I went out with my friend Marta and her friends. She and her boyfriend came to pick me up at like 7 and I thought we were going straight to the resturant but this is literally how it went: we stayed in my house for like 20 minutes while they talked to my host parents, we went to the mall, then to her boyfriends house, then to his friends house, drank some tea, then waited for his other friends, and then finally the pub at like 10:15..since I still have the American mindset of time I kept thinking 'shouldn't we get going...' but then I'd be like wait why rush!? I know in the US people tend to get stressed out when everyone is dilly dallying but there is really no reason to be unless you absolutly have to get somewhere on time! It's nice to be slow ahah. I didn't go to bed until 1:30 or so and I had to wake up at 6:30 on Sunday morning so I'm still absolutly exhausted. Since dinner is so late here it's not possible to go to bed early! 'Going to bed early' is at like 10:30 here. But yesterday afternoon I napped for a couple hours so at least I can still stay awake during school, barely haha. And anyways I can sleep when I'm back in Maine! No time for sleeping here!

I thought it was starting to warm up here but it's been cold and rainy, I think it might still be warmer than Maine though I'm not sure! It's about 40 degrees on average, sometimes warmer. At least the snow has stopped. I can't wait for it to get sunny and nice though! Easter, or 'Pasqua' is coming up and we have like a week off of school for it which I'm psyched for. It's a huge holiday in Italy, obviously since it's such a religious country. We also have a new pope which I'm sure you are all aware of hahaha I imagine that it's on the news everywhere. It's cool to be here while that's happening, and to hear how much everyone here loves him...I literally haven't heard one person say a negative thing. I think maybe that no matter what everyone loves the pope.

I am missing spring on MDI, not that we have much of a spring but I'll miss Easter with my family and my sister and dads birthday is coming up and I wish I could be with them while they celebrate! Not to mention they are all leaving for Boca Grande in Florida tomorrow..with some family friends as well so I'm SO JEALOUS! If you guys are reading this I hope you have safe travels and a great time! Today I have to give a presentation on school in America, which everyone is fasinated by..ahah. I better get going now, I will write again next time I'm trying not to fall asleep in class ;) ciao ciao!
