VISA! and departure orientation!

Hi! So I finally got my visa :) Last weekend we drove to Boston and met with the consults. We got there really late the previous night, and as my mom was going through all the papers we realized we had left a stack at home. Meetings with the consult to get a student visa are really hard to get, not to mention the pain of driving to Boston with SO much paperwork...it's honestly ridiculous! We had a mini panic attack, but it worked out because we got them scanned to us. Thank goodnesss! It was about a 20 minute meeting with the consult, and thankfully we had everything they needed - and they signed the papers and my visa should be here in about two weeks! Perfect timing before departure.

I was soooo relieved, that was the last big thing we had to do before I leave. On January 6th, my dad and I are going to a pre departure orientation. We have to drive like 4 hours to get there!! But I'm excited, it'll be my last chance to ask questions and stuff before I leave. There's only 27 days left here!!!!!!!! I'm freaking out. I haven't started packing yet but I will soon, just to feel better about it and put myself at ease. I'm so nervous, I've been biting my nails again and eating a ton of food to get my mind off of all the things I have to do before I leave, probably not the best way to cope with things...haha I'm just so antsy.
