Accepted by AFS Italy!

Hello! A few days ago, I got a call from AFS informing me that I have been officially accepted by Italy. I'm so excited!!! I have started learning really basic Italian, like simple words for things around the house. Soon I will start a language program, and while I'm in Italy I will have Italian lessons a few times a week after school! I was nervous about how I was going to learn the language, but now I feel more confident. I'm still nervous for my first month of so in Italy though, I won't be able to communicate with anyone very well at all! But I feel like I'll know enough to get me by and I'm confident that I'll be able to catch on quickly.

I won't know about my location or host family until most likely January, because during the holidays Italy kind of shuts down for awhile! So thats why it might take a little bit to know that information. I will update as soon as I have more things to update on!
