Successful Fundraiser!

Hello!  Last night I had my benefit dinner and it was very successful. We had a great turnout! Along with the silent auction, we served a 4 course Italian meal that consisted of bruschetta with cannellini beans and kale, and with tomato and basil. Then there was pasta with a traditional red sauce, and a salad with olive oil, lemon, salt and pepper. The last course was tiramisu. It was all home cooked, my family and some great family friends of ours (Lisa Hall & her family, and Dave LaValle) spent the whole day cooking! They also stayed until midnight making sure everything was as clean as possible. This whole event wouldn't have been possible without their help. I can't thank them enough! I also would like to thank the community who came, it means so much to feel that support around me as I prepare to spend a semester in Italy! 12 of my awesome friends (Nellie LaValle, Riley Heist, Deandra Kanu, Leila Johnston, Kayla Ray, Emma Fernald, Bailey Stillman, Alyssa Hodgdon, Richard Helmke, Alexis Michaud, Ian Sampson and Audyn Curless) came and served for the whole night, I couldn't be more appreciative of them! I couldn't have asked for a better team. I'd also like to thank Abe Philbrook, Ronnie Musetti, and Adam Olearcek for staying after they came for dinner to help us clean everything up! To the left is a picture of just a few of us clearing some plates off before we served the next course. It was pretty hectic and stressful at times but we had such a blast. We raised $2,500 after expenses.  I have more pictures that I will post later, so if your interested check back in later! Xxoxoxo
